Jim Jolly is the university's accreditation liaison officer for the Higher Learning Commission and an ex officio member of the university assessment and research support service committees.
He has taught courses in law, leadership, and humanities for the colleges of management and arts and sciences.
He serves the City of Livonia as the Vice President of the Livonia City Council where he also chairs the Committee on Law and Education. He is a licensed attorney and a former magistrate of the 16th District Court in Livonia, Michigan. He serves on the State Bar of Michigan Character and Fitness District Committee, as past-president of the Livonia Bar Association, and is a member of the Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers and Shamrock Bar Association . He received a BA in American Studies from Western Michigan University and a JD from the University of Detroit Mercy.
