On Oct. 18-19 Lawrence Technological University hosted its fourth Innovation Encounter competition that focused on inventive problem-solving and the recognition of societal values, business principles, and customer awareness in making business decisions.
LTU faculty and students in the life sciences and biomedical engineering have gained a powerful new tool for visualizing cell and tissue architectures with the opening of the Confocal Microscopy Laboratory earlier this year. The laboratory on the second floor of the Science Building houses a state-of-the-art Olympus FV1200 biological laser scanning confocal microscope system.
The Chicago-based Coleman Foundation has awarded Lawrence Technological University a two-year, $150,000 grant to increase student participation in entrepreneurial education that is already occurring on campus.
