LTU offers summer science camp prize in competition marking National Engineers Week

Middle school and high school students are invited to solve the technological challenges of tomorrow as part of Lawrence Technological University’s celebration of National Engineers Week. The LTU E-Week Challenge asks students to submit a written essay of up to 500 words or a one-minute video on solving a scientific, engineering, or technological challenge.

LTU makes science sweet for students learning chemistry through cake

Students at the Southfield Public Schools’ Levey Middle School learned about the science involved in everyday living during a virtual workshop conducted by Lawrence Technological University’s Marburger STEM Center—the chemical reactions that turn flour, eggs, and chemicals into delicious cake.

LTU's Marburger STEM Center Ambassadors celebrate Halloween using chemistry in virtual workshop

On Oct. 27, LTU’s Marburger STEM Center Ambassadors delivered a workshop virtually to Chrisondra Austin’s STEM class at Glenn W. Levey Middle School, a STEM-focused school in the Southfield Public Schools. In the spirit of the season, the Ambassadors performed some well-known chemical reactions with a witchy fall twist.
