LTU students, professor in autonomous vehicle project at next year's Detroit auto show

Five Lawrence Technological University students and LTU computer science professor CJ Chung will work with a Korean auto parts company and a Russian tech giant to create a taxi service from Detroit’s TCF Center to downtown Detroit hotels for the 2020 North American International Auto Show in June.

Robofest 2020 Game to test students' robot putting skills

This winter and spring, thousands of students from around the world will be programming putting robots for their chance to win trophies and scholarships in Lawrence Technological University’s World Robofest Championship. Nearly 1,000 teams and almost 3,000 students from around the world are expected to participate in the event, founded in 1999 by LTU computer science professor C.J. Chung.

Lawrence Tech is global champ of self-driving cars--for the third year in a row

For the third consecutive year, Lawrence Technological University has won first place in the Self-Drive Challenge event at the 27th annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition. LTU was crowned champ late Monday after four days of competition at Oakland University in Rochester.

A team of high school students from the West African nation of Ghana took first place in the Senior Game Division at the Robofest World Championships, held Saturday at Lawrence Technological University.
