Michigan Dot Using Carbon Fiber to Reinforce Bridge Components on Major Projects
Two bridges are currently being built with carbon fiber reinforced beams as part of the I-94 modernization project. MDOT has been collaborating with Lawrence Technological University (LTU) in Southfield on researching carbon fiber reinforced polymer materials in concrete bridge beams. LTU bringing back its Grand Prix Nov. 6 for student-designed race cars
Lawrence Technological University’s Blue Devil Motorsports teams are bringing back their annual autumn Grand Prix of time trials for student-designed Formula-style race cars. Last held in October 2019, the event went on hiatus for 2020 due to the pandemic.
