LTU moves up U.S. News & World Report rankings for Midwestern universities

Lawrence Technological University has been ranked No. 33 among the 2022-2023 Best Regional Universities-Midwest by U.S. News & World Report. Now in their 38th year, the rankings evaluate more than 1,450 colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality. The ranking is a move up for LTU, which ranked No. 37 in the prior two years.

LTU one of Forbes' 'Top Colleges'

Lawrence Technological University has been named one of “America’s Top Colleges,” according to Forbes magazine. LTU is No. 1 among the universities in the three-county Metro Detroit area for highest alumni salaries at a median of $119,900, 10 years after graduation.

LTU, Ford House, Design Core Detroit present 'Craft in the Digital Age'

Detroit Month of Design kicked off Sept. 1, a monthlong celebration of all things design and Detroit, organized by Design Core Detroit, a nonprofit organization that champions design-driven businesses and their role in strengthening Detroit’s economy. And this year, for the first time, the celebration includes design installations from Lawrence Technological University faculty, staff, and students at Ford House, the historic 1928 home of Edsel and Eleanor Ford in Grosse Pointe Shores.

LTU to inaugurate new president, kick off 90th anniversary at Homecoming Sept. 24

Lawrence Technological University will formally inaugurate its eighth president, Tarek M Sobh, PhD, P.E., as part of its Homecoming festivities on Saturday, Sept. 24. The occasion also begins the University’s yearlong observance of the 90th anniversary of its founding in 1932.

LTU's Centrepolis Accelerator awarded $1.5M state grant to help make more products in Michigan

The Centrepolis Accelerator at Lawrence Technological University has received a $1.5 million Design for Michigan Manufacturing program grant to continue its mission of developing and launching more manufactured goods made in Michigan. The grant, from the Michigan Strategic Fund, runs through Sept. 30, 2025, with an option for additional funding for up to five additional years.
