'Get out there and do great things,' DTE chair tells LTU grads

Gerard M. Anderson says that life can sometimes seem like a random walk—but that with hard work and perseverance, you can “write a story for yourself that you love.”Anderson, executive chairman at the Detroit utility holding company DTE Energy, was the featured speaker at Lawrence Technological University’s 2020 Commencement exercises, streamed Saturday afternoon on the internet due to the coronavirus pandemic.

LTU to webcast virtual Commencement Nov. 21 for May, December 2020 graduates

2020 has been a year like no other, and so it’s appropriate that Lawrence Technological University’s 2020 Commencement will share that one-of-a-kind nature. Lawrence Tech will stream virtual Commencement ceremonies at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, honoring those who earned bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in both the Spring 2020 and Fall 2020 semesters.

LTU donates laptop computers for lending by Detroit Public Library

The Detroit Public Library has begun letting patrons check out laptop computers, using 200 refurbished Lenovo Yoga laptops donated by Lawrence Technological University. Library users can check out computers for 90 days by presenting an adult Detroit Public Library card under the program, called “Laptop to Go.”
