It's a busy Homecoming Week at LTU

Homecoming Week is at full swing at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, with a full slate of activities leading up to Saturday’s football game and soccer matches.

The busy schedule of events includes:

 Wednesday, Oct. 16:

  • Car Smash, a chance to swing a hammer at a junk car to raise money for the Special Olympics, until 5 p.m., campus Quadrangle.
  • eSports Open House, a chance to get a look at LTU’s new, high-tech electronic gaming palace, 3 to 6 p.m. Building 17 at www.ltu.edu/map.
  • Women’s Volleyball vs. University of Michigan-Dearborn, Don Ridler Field House (Building 15).

Thursday, Oct. 17:

  • Leaders & Innovators speaker series, “Cyber Security,” 8 a.m., University Technology & Learning Center Gallery (building 5).
  • Executive to Executive Speaker Series, Bankole Thompson, PuLSE Institute, 8:30 a.m., Mary E. Marburger Science and Engineering Auditorium, Room S100. Science Building (building 7)
  • Car Smash, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Quadrangle

Friday, Oct. 18

  • Corn Hole Tournament, noon, Buell Building (Building 5)

Saturday, Oct. 19

  • Football Tailgate, 8 a.m. to noon, Parking Lot A
  • Jubilee Brunch, 10 a.m., honoring alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago, featuring the introduction of the Class of 1969 into the LTU Jubilee Society, University Technology and Learning Center Gallery (building 3).
  • Football vs. Siena Heights Saints, noon, Blue Devil Stadium
  • Men’s soccer vs. Indiana Tech Warriors, 4:30 p.m., Blue Devil Stadium
  • Women’s soccer vs. Indiana Tech Warriors, 7:30 p.m., Blue Devil Stadium
