Arslan named ombudsman for engineering students

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Selin Arslan, the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs, will be serving as the ombudsman for our College of Engineering students.

She will act as a neutral resource between a student and a faculty/staff member. She will listen to students' concerns and problems and assist students in accomplishing resolution. She will provide informal assistance. She will advocate fairness and act as a source of information and refer the students to the right individuals departments or offices. 

Please note that Dr. Arslan's position is not intended to eliminate standard office and academic procedures, more to provide a supplemental resource for students.
