Studio Couture hosts faculty exhibit through Dec. 20

Associate Dean Ralph Nelson (R) of the College of Architecture and Design joins Assistant Professor Jim Stevens and the portable CNC machine he used for the course he taught in Albania over the summer.

Faculty members of the College of Architecture and Design at Lawrence Technological University have put together an exhibit of their research, thinking and creative work at Studio Couture in downtown Detroit.  Each professor was given four square feet of display space hence the name of the exhibit, FOUR SQUARE.

The exhibit is open to the public at no charge. The gallery located at 1433 Woodward Avenue is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

No restrictions were given regarding medium, topic or position.  No frame was given excepting that the work be a clear and compelling glimpse into current work and future trajectories.

Visitors to the gallery space will select prize-winning work through an open voting process.
