Military Friendly

Lawrence Technological University (LTU) has been named to the “Military Friendly Schools” list for 2015 compiled by Victory Media, the publisher of G.I. Jobs.

The list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans and military spouses as students and to ensure their success on campus.

According to Victory Media, LTU and the others on this year’s list exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience. The survey captures more than 50 leading practices in supporting military students. Find out more about the designation process at

Lawrence Tech offers a 15 percent tuition discount to all active military, inactive, reserve or retired military.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has designated Lawrence Tech as a “Yellow Ribbon School” for providing up to $5,500 per year toward that program for qualified veterans. It is certified for GI Bill benefits.

Last November LTU ranked first in Michigan in the inaugural ranking of the best colleges for veterans compiled by U.S. News and World Report.

LTU recently became an affiliate of the Army ROTC program at Eastern Michigan University and also has an Air Force ROTC program.
