Faculty Staff Campaign has a goal of $125,000

The Faculty Staff Campaign officially started at a meeting on Dec. 4 with the theme of “Moving Forward – Possible is Everything.”
This year’s campaign goal for contributions to the University is $125,000 with a 55 percent participation rate for full-time and part-time faculty and staff. The campaign must reach both goals in order to qualify for a $7,500 challenge grant from President Emeritus Richard Marburger.
Assistant Provost Lisa Kujawa is this year’s campaign chair. Members of the campaign committee are Ali Barnard of the College of Architecture and Design dean’s office, Registrar Noreen Ferguson, Louise Garrett of the president’s office, Kathy Gilman of the Department of Civil Engineering, Marilyn Hotaling of the library staff, Tracy Kash Thomas of the College of Arts and Sciences dean’s office, Joyce McKissen of the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Communication, and Diane Sobania of the admissions office.

Over the course of the University’s current capital campaign, our faculty and staff have raised over $750,000. To be eligible for a federal tax deduction for 2012, gifts must be made by Dec. 31.
The campaign will wrap up on Jan. 31, 2013, and a reception will be held sometime in February. The main all donor prize will be a Google Nexus 7 tablet, and one or two other surprise gifts are under consideration.
