New trends are driving changes in today’s workplace, with a major impact on businesses, their employees, and how people work.

WWJ Newsradio 950 and Lawrence Technological University will present an expert review of the latest trends in “The New Office” at the next Leaders and Innovators program presentation Thursday, Feb. 15 at LTU.

The event will cover the shifting factors that motivate employees, and the fact that employers must now be more creative in their strategies to hire and retain the best talent. Also covered will be changes in how employers view their competition, and how employers can use relationships generated through social media to gain a competitive edge.

The event begins with registration, networking, and continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m., with the panel discussion and question-and-answer period from 8 to 9 a.m.

The venue is the University Technology and Learning Center Gallery at LTU, 21000 W. 10 Mile Road in Southfield (see www.ltu.edu/map). Ample free parking is available nearby.

Panelists at the event are to include:

  • Margaret M. “Peg” Pierce, director of career services at LTU
