LTU offers new session of leadership certificate courses
SOUTHFIELD--Developing critical leadership skills can make the difference between success and failure in the workplace. And Lawrence Technological University will offer a five-week Leadership Certificate program beginning Jan. 26.
This leadership development workshop series leading to a certificate in leadership will teach new, recently promoted and experienced managers the skills needed to perform effectively and successfully as leaders.
Session topics include self-awareness, global leadership, valuing diversity, cultural differences, ethics, credibility, effective communication, motivation, managing conflict, handling stress and change, and more.
The class will meet via interactive Zoom sessions, Thursdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2, 9, 16, and 23.
Class size is limited to 15 people.
The program facilitator is Patricia Castelli, professor in LTU's College of Business and Information Technology. She has been with Lawrence Tech since 1995 where she teaches leadership, managing global teams, and human resource management. As owner of PAC Productions for three decades, she has trained over 30,000 leaders in a variety of global organizations. Her client list includes General Motors, Whirlpool, IBM, the federal Department of Defense, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Sara Lee Corp., The American Medical Association, Amway, and 1.800.Flowers.com. Known for her motivational appeal, her mission is to assist others in finding meaningful ways to lead, inspire, and serve as positive forces in their organizations. Dr. Castelli has conducted extensive international research in leadership and has received numerous awards in teaching and scholarship.
