Release Date: December 3, 2015
LTU Staff Senate

The LTU Giving Tree has helped make Christmas a little brighter for needy children in Southfield. Among the LTU Staff Senate members who volunteered on this annual project were (L-R) Amy Figot, Joyce Genat, Adrienne Aluzzo, and Suzanne Schimanski-Gross.

Every year the Staff Senate at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) organizes a Giving Tree for the collection of gifts for the Southfield Goodfellows’ Christmas campaign to provide gifts to children in needy families.

The Community Outreach Committee of the Staff Senate coordinated the placement of the Giving Tree in the atrium of the Buell Management Building. The tree had 75 tags with requests from boys and girls of different ages. Members of the LTU community took all of the tags filled the requests.

The collection period concluded on Dec. 3 with a Giving Tree Party with hot coca and cookies donated by Aramark Dining Services.
