Ten 'Micro Makers' pitch to become the Next Big Thing

Ten promising companies pitched their novel products to judges and an online audience of more than 50 people in a “MicroMakers Pitch Event,” held Wednesday by the Centrepolis Accelerator at Lawrence Technological University.

LTU is the college champion of self-driving cars--for the fifth straight year

The collegiate champion trophy for self-driving automotive technology resides at Lawrence Technological University. Lawrence Tech’s Team ACTor—an acronym for Autonomous Campus Transport—won an amazing fifth straight championship at the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition, staged each year since 1993 at Oakland University in Rochester.

Ten companies will compete for $35,000 in prizes at the “Micro Makers Pitch Event” to be held on Wednesday, June 22 at Centrepolis Accelerator at Lawrence Technological University. The virtual event will feature startups creating innovative physical products—startups that are being established by historically underrepresented populations in the City of Southfield and Wayne County. 

LTU hosting students of self-driving car technology from around the nation

Eight students from around the country have arrived on the campus of Lawrence Technological University to begin a summer of advancing the state of the art in self-driving cars.

LTU's Robofest crowns world champions in online event

Teams from Hong Kong, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan, as well as the United States, were crowned champions in the 2022 Robofest Online World Championship Saturday, May 21. In all, 190 teams comprised of 560 students from 12 countries participated in the 2022 Robofest Online World Championship events.
