WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED: “Ultimately, our view of the world is that we will provide the most cost-effective solutions for health care demands. People are living longer, the cost of health care is skyrocketing, the baby boomer bubble is moving into the health system where theyíre getting sick but living longer, and we have the great debate over health care reform. We aim to provide care more cost effectively so people can manage disease and chronic illnesses in their own home.”

FAVORITE TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET: “My current favorite is the medication dispensing units from CST. You put a machine in a personís home, fill it with drugs and do it on a scheduled basis. The machine tells you when itís time to take the medication. If you donít take it, weíll call you and tell you to take it, and if not, we contact designated others to make it happen.”
