WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED: “Companies, as the true purchasers of health care, want to integrate the most effective health care strategies from previously standalone initiatives such as wellness, value–based insurance design, the Affordable Care Act, incentives, and primary care. The complexity of reform and the rapid–fire pace of insurance and wellness changes have created a 'perfect storm of opportunity' for agile organizations to obtain a competitive advantage. Until now, businesses have not had the resources, time, or expertise necessary to optimize the health of their employees and the associated costs. Wellco provides organizations with reliable, easy–to–use comparative systems to control health care costs via benchmarking, tracking, and improving avoidable health costs and conditions.”
