Dick Beedon

Founder and CEO of Amplifinity in Ann Arbor. Amplifinity is a software-as-a-service platform that manages brand advocate programs for businesses through word-of-mouth marketing. Clients include DIRECTV, ADP, and Sony. Under Beedon's leadership, the company has raised more than $5 million in funding from such firms as Early Stage Partners and RSVP Capital and became the first investment made by the Michigan Economic Development Corp.'s Pure Michigan Venture Match Fund. Recently, Amplifinity was named the People's Choice WOMMY Award winner by the Word of Mouth Marketing Association. Beedon has been the principal financial and strategic architect in the successful formation, funding, growth, and sale/IPO of three technology companies. Prior to Amplifinity, he led the acquisition and subsequent sale of Entyre Doc Prep. Under his leadership, Entyre created the mortgage industry's leading web services document creation and management software product. Prior to Entyre, Beedon was founder and CEO of JustTalk, a pioneer in speech recognition for enterprise applications. Previously, he was founder, CEO, and president of University Netcasting, which merged with Student Advantage and had a successful IPO that raised more than $80 million and had a combined market capitalization of more than $1 billion. The company, which built and managed the athletic websites of almost all of the Division 1 athletic departments, was purchased by CBS. Beedon has also held several sales and management positions in the computer and technology industries, including positions at IBM, Prime Computer, and Horizons Technology Inc. He serves as a director at GDI, the Ann Arbor YMCA, and The Growing Tree. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.
