John Baysore

President and CEO of Dematic Corp. in Grand Rapids. Dematic supplies logistics automation systems and service, generating a global business volume of approximately $1.3 billion. The company has developed and implemented more than 5,000 integrated systems for companies of all sizes in a variety of market sectors. Baysore has more than 20 years of executive experience and consistent strong performance across several industries. He has repeatedly proven his ability to turn companies around and achieve growth. During his more than five years with Dematic, the company expanded its network of regional engineering offices with new locations in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Detroit. Between 2009-11, North American revenue more than doubled. More than 500 employees have been added in the past few years. Prior to joining Dematic, Baysore was president and CEO of ThyssenKrupp Fabco, a Tier 1 automotive supplier of metal stampings and welded assemblies. Earlier, he started and grew a laser welding business (Utilase) from the ground up to a value of more than $300 million over a 10-year period. Baysore supports the American Cancer Society. He received his bachelor's degree in welding engineering from Ohio State University and pursued post-graduate studies in electrical engineering at the University of Missouri and business at the University of Michigan.
