Patrick O'Keefe

O'Keefe & Associates is a financial consulting firm specializing in turnaround consulting, corporate finance, debt restructuring, business valuations, litigation support, creditor and bankruptcy services, business strategy advising, forensic accounting, and due diligence on merger and acquisitions. Established in 2001, the company also has locations in Grand Rapids and Chicago. O'Keefe has more than 25 years of experience in turnaround roles and is a recognized expert in corporate reorganization and debt restructuring. Under his leadership, O'Keefe & Associates won the M&A Advisor's Turnaround of the Year award (lower middle market) and the Industrial Manufacturing/Distribution Deal of the Year award for the turnaround of Graceland Fruit. The company was named a Cool Places to Work in 2011 by Crain's Detroit Business. O'Keefe is a CPA, Certified Turnaround Professional, and Certified in Financial Forensics. He has been approved by the U.S. Department of Justice to act as a Chapter 11 trustee and has been a court-appointed receiver for numerous operating companies. He is among a handful of experts recognized by the Institute of Business Appraisers as a business valuator accredited in litigation. Earlier, O'Keefe was a partner at Deloitte & Touche in charge of the middle market department in Detroit. Subsequently, he was a CFO of a large residential development company in Michigan and a partner in a turnaround consulting firm. He is a trustee of Cleary University and on the advisory board of the Michigan State University (MSU) department of accounting and information systems. He is a past president of both the Detroit Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute. TMA honored him with the Outstanding Individual Contribution award. He also received the Cleary Business Medal of Honor and the Small Business Administration's Financial Services Champion of the Year award. O'Keefe holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from MSU and an MBA from Wayne State University.
