New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Notice
Employees may link here to access the New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Notice for information about the state healthcare exchanges or marketplaces.
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), most American citizens and legal residents have qualifying health insurance as of January 1, 2014. If they don’t, they could be subject to a financial penalty. Many people will get their qualifying health insurance through a government plan (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.) or through an employer-sponsored health plan. The marketplaces will be open and available to anyone wishing to purchase individual health insurance coverage.
The University offers the voluntary, tax sheltered retirement saving "Plan" to eligible employees. The Summary Plan Description (SPD) document summarizes important information about the Plan including eligibility requirements, vesting schedules and loan features. Employees may access Retirement Investment Plan and download the SPD document or request a paper copy of the SPD document free of charge by emailing email@example.com.
