DEPARTMENT: Business and Information Technology
TYPE:  Full-Time

SUMMARY: The Assistant/Associate Professor of Management is a tenure-track position in the College of Business and Information Technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses

  • Research and publication in quality journals

  • Creative activities

  • Academic advising

  • Participation in activities related to the University’s pursuit of AACSB accreditation

  • Service to the department, college, and university 

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES and QUALIFICATIONS: Computer skills using word processing, database and spreadsheet software are critical to success in this position. Candidates should have the ability to organize, plan and implement programming from concept to assessment, as well as the ability to teach and conduct research, mentor and advise students, and perform meaningful service to the College, University, and community at large. The person in this position must be able to deal with various types of situations and people in a pleasant and cooperative manner. This position also requires an individual willing to learn and update skills as necessary. This employee must be conscious of the campus as a whole and his/her position in relationship to the University.

PhD or DBA in Management, or an area that enables the candidate to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of Management and/or Marketing, from an AACSB accredited university. An ADB nearing completion of the degree will be considered.
