JOB TITLE:  Professor of Accounting and Finance

TYPE:  Full-Time

The College of Business and Information Technology is seeking a tenure-track faculty candidate in Accounting and Finance at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank, beginning Fall 2023.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses

  • Research and publication in quality journals

  • Creative activities

  • Academic advising

  • Participation in activities related to the University’s pursuit of AACSB accreditation Service to the department, college, and university

Candidates with expertise in auditing, taxation and professional certifications in CPA, CFA, or CMA would be preferred.

Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research and teaching and must have a strong desire for pedagogical and curricular innovation. Responsibilities include research, as well as teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses, academic advising, and providing service and outreach contributions to the college, university and to the community.

A PhD or DBA in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline is required. An ABD nearing completion of the degree will be considered. The successful candidate must have an academic degree that is qualified to teach at an AACSB accredited institution.
