JOB TITLE: Program Director – MS Cardiovascular Perfusion
HIRING SUPERVISOR: Department Chair-Biomedical Engineering
DEPARTMENT: Biomedical Engineering

JOB DUTIES: New Master of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion (MSCVP) Program to be launched in August 2022. The Program Director's primary responsibility is to assume leadership responsibility and accountability for program launch and administration.
Meet the requirements as set forth by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs for Perfusion (CAAHEP).
Coordinate with Comprehensive Care Services Inc. (CCS), partner of the MSCVP program, to ensure efficient usage of the CCS facility in support of student education and training.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Meet the requirements for a Perfusion Education Program director as set forth in the Essentials and Guidelines: Perfusion Education accepted by the AC-PE.  Highly developed interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to create and maintain collegial relationships with internal and external team members. Effective supervisory skills including performance management and hiring. Advanced scholarship and evidence-based practice expertise.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: The Program Director should have a Master's degree from an accredited institution recognized by the US Secretary of Education at the time the degree was conferred, with a minimum of Five (5) years of professional experience as a perfusionist. The Program Director should have Two (2) years of experience as an instructor in an accredited educational program or demonstrated experience in instructional methodology, curriculum design, program planning and counseling.
