JOB TITLE: Program Coordinator – Physician Assistant Program POSITION NUMBER: CI9910 HIRING SUPERVISOR: Director of Physician Assistant Program DIVISION: College of Arts and Sciences DEPARTMENT: Natural Sciences TYPE: Full-Time
JOB DUTIES: The incumbent will assist the Program Director and the faculty in the following duties, including, but not limited to: File student, course, and faculty records; produce and maintain rosters and databases of didactic and clinical year students, alumni, clinical sites and preceptor; generate reports and presentations for PA Program Director and Clinical Coordinator; schedule faculty meetings; transcribe meeting minutes; order and maintain stock of medical and office supplies; screen phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party; create and distribute student clinical and didactic year weekly schedules; direct the work of lower level employees and student workers; review office expenditures and resources where applicable; make initial determinations of budget and report any errors to immediate supervisor; interact with other departments and key university officials; respond to program application and registration inquiries and assist in evaluating new applicants’ information, assist with on-campus interviews of PA program applicants, tour PA Program applicants around campus; greet and assist visitors; present overview of PA Program and its requirements; maintain polite, professional communication with PA students, applicants, and faculty
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have an earned bachelor’s degree or higher, have prior experience in the health-professions at an educational institution, is highly organized, can work under short deadlines, multitask, and possess computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and specific campus software related to office and personnel management. Must be willing to take initiative and open to new ideas.
