JOB TITLE: Web Production Coordinator POSITION NUMBER: WP9998-00 HIRING SUPERVISOR: Director of Web Services DIVISION: Administration DEPARTMENT: Marketing and Public Affairs TYPE: Full-Time
The Web Production Coordinator (WPC) is the lead resource for the University the Management of existing web pages and the creation of new websites and digital marketing support materials. The WPC, under the direction of the Director of Web Services, will refine the website in terms of usability and layout in both desktop and mobile environments. The WPC will assist Lawrence Tech marketing initiatives by preparing landing pages for online advertising campaigns in a joint effort to increase enrollment. The WPC is also essential for the identification and communication of any issues that impact the overall performance of the university website from a technical or usability standpoint.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Use the university’s content management system to update content and databases as needed.
Create and optimize graphics and images for website use.
Analyze current information architecture and document areas for improvement.
Identify and resolve issues related to HTML layouts and content organization
Train junior users of the content management system.
Manage and/or participate in multiple website projects at one time
Advanced competency with Adobe Creative Suite
Fluency in HTML, CSS, and other front-end web development technologies
Strong understanding of UX concepts
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to work on large collaborative projects under strict deadlines
The ideal candidate for this position is a current front-end website professional with a proven record of working on effective marketing websites and digital marketing initiatives with small to mid-sized organizations.
