JOB DUTIES: The Project Coordinator is responsible for all the aspects of the planning and programming for the Community College STEM Bridge Program, which includes engagement with students, faculty and administrators at HFCC and MCC. Works with community college partners and the LTU room scheduling team to secure room reservations and address all other logistical considerations for scheduled events. Responsible for purchasing supplies, coordinating food purchase and delivery, tracking project expenses, completing hiring paperwork for student assistants, website management, etc.
Recruits students enrolled at HFCC and MCC to attend and participate in MiCUP-funded programming, including 1-2 day immersive learning experiences, summer workshops, film screenings, and all other scheduled activities. Works with community college partners to identify and execute effective publicity and promotion strategies to reach MCC and HFC students. Manages event-specific registrations, participant rosters, communication, mileage reimbursement requests, etc.
Ensures student data collection to satisfy KCP reporting requirements and manages all student and program-related data. Secures FERPA waivers from student participants as needed to allow data-sharing by community college partner institutions.
Collaborates with the Executive Director on assessment and evaluation of the Community College STEM Bridge Program. Assists with preparation and submission of quarterly financial reports, year-end final report, and reapplication process for each subsequent year of the grant cycle.
Meet routinely with the Executive Director of the Marburger STEM Center and providing updates consistently on the progress and outreach plans.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Project Coordinator will possess an undergraduate degree in a STEM or Humanities discipline with a demonstrated record of accomplishments in higher education/community colleges, strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with academic and support services areas to achieve the goals of the University.
