JOB TITLE: Assistant Professor in Technical and Professional Communication
DIVISION:  College of Arts & Science
DEPARTMENT: Humanities, Social Sciences, and Communication
TYPE:  Full-Time

JOB DUTIES:  Assistant Professor of Technical and Professional Communication (tenure track), to begin August 2020. Ph.D. required in Technical and Professional Communication, Rhetoric and Composition, Writing, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will teach the Core Curriculum Tech & Prof Comm course, and upper-level Communication courses in their area of specialization. The department is searching for communication specialists who can leverage the University’s STEM-research focus: technical and scientific editors, digital media content creators and managers, informatics and data systems architects, etc. The successful candidate will demonstrate a record of publications and ongoing scholarly research agenda, evidence of successful teaching and a commitment to equity and inclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS:  M.A. / M.S. minimum; Ph.D. in Technical & Professional Communications, or closely related field Record of publications 2 yrs. teaching experience.
