JOB DUTIES: Lawrence Technological University, in conjunction with Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus, is seeking a Director for a new Physician Assistant program. The Director of the program is the chief academic officer of the two year Master in Physician Assistant Studies program, and will provide leadership and management to all aspects of the program. The Director will be responsible for building a solid operational foundation that ensures the success of the program. The Director’s primary responsibilities are to advance the mission of the program, and to develop a vision and the strategic steps necessary to achieve that vision. The Director will work closely with Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus as they will be instrumental to the program through providing high-quality clinical rotations and experiences throughout the two year Physician Assistant program.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Director must be a NCCPA certified PA or a M.D. or D.O. with a State of Michigan license and certified by an ABMS or AOA-approved specialty board. Considerable administrative and academic experience is necessary. The incumbent should also possess a track record of participation and leadership in professional and academic associations, and sufficient experience to engage the professional community.
