Dr. Montaha Macany
Dr. Montaha Macany received her PhD in Numerical Analysis and Computing from Victoria University of Manchester / England in (1984). She earned her BS.C in Mathematic from University of Basra /Iraq in
(1976) and MS.C from Victoria University of Manchester in Numerical Analysis and computing (1981)
Dr Macany Was a lecturer IV for 20 years in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics /University of Michigan – Dearborn
She joined LTU as an adjunct faculty for the first time in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at LTU in the spring of 2000 until 2011, and came back in the Fall of 2015 for one semester and back again in the fall of 2022 after retiring from UM.
She taught a wide range of Math and computer science classes at LTU
For example Calculus I, calculus II, Calculus III, Statistics II, Probability and Statistics, Ordinary Differential Equations, Advanced Engineering Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics for Computer Engineering, Programming in C, QBASIC, Formal Languages and Automata theory and Numerical Analysis,
Dr Macany have taught a variety of Math and Computer Science courses over the years at several colleges and Universities in England, Iraq and Jordan before residing in Michigan where she taught in several institutions, for example University of Detroit Mercy, Ford Motor company and Oakland community College
Dr Macany published several papers in scientific Journals and presented some of them in international conferences in (Iraq, Egypt, Jordan and USA).
