Eryn Smith, MS, PA-C is the founding Program Director for the Lawrence Tech University Physician Assistant Program, as well as a senior Physician Assistant at the Michigan Medicine Frankel Cardiovascular Center in Ann Arbor. A short time after graduating from the University of Michigan in 1997, Eryn started working as a Paramedic and Firefighter. After deciding to further his career in medicine, he was accepted to PA school and eventually received a Master of Science in Medicine degree from Western Michigan University in 2005. Since that time, Eryn has worked clinically in general and interventional cardiology, heart failure, and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Michigan. Along with helping to develop a new physician assistant program at Eastern Michigan University, he has lectured at local, national, and international conferences. Eryn lives in Saline, Michigan, and enjoys spending time with his wife Deana and two sons, Ayden and Colin, as well as competitive road and mountain biking.
