Brian Kaminski

Brian Kaminski, MS, RN, AGACNP-BC is a Senior Lecturer of Nursing at Lawrence Technological University. He earned his MS with a focus in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Certificate in Nursing Education, and BSN from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Mr. Kaminski is a DNP student at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing where he is developing as a clinical scholar. His interests include quality improvement of injured (trauma) patients and translation of evidence-based practice from research to the bedside and the classroom. Mr. Kaminski is exploring the education, simulation, orientation, and competency assessment of new nurse practitioners and providers of a Trauma Surgery service. 

Since 2013, Mr. Kaminski has taught undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Additionally, he has served as an adjunct clinical instructor for Davenport University – Lansing Campus while engaged in a variety of clinical nursing practice roles at major healthcare systems in Michigan. Currently, he maintains clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Trauma Surgery/Surgical Critical Care and Orthopedics. 

Mr. Kaminski continues to be professionally active in numerous nursing organizations, including MICNP. He is supportive of mentorship, excellence, and research. He believes in self-directed learning and partnering with students to achieve success in their academic endeavors. His role is to maintain and promote an open, diverse, and inclusive environment for teaching and learning. Mr. Kaminski provides students with the resources and tools to learn new knowledge, successfully graduate, and launch a successful and impactful nursing career.
