Gayle Fawcett

Fawcett earned a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Oakland University and a Bachelor of Arts degree, in English, minoring in Psychology and German, from Wayne State University.  Prior to teaching Introductory Psychology at Lawrence Technological University, she enjoyed a career in commercial property casualty insurance, followed by college and career counseling in the Bloomfield Hills School District and work with students in marketing and recruitment at Oakland Community College.

In the classroom, Fawcett encourages students to be open to everything, think critically, consider multiple perspectives, engage with fellow students in the classroom and have fun in the process.  She hopes that they will end up with a basic knowledge and appreciation of psychology, be able to see it as an integral part of their everyday lives, and perhaps even love it a little.  Her motto and formula for success in the classroom as in life: Show up and do the work!
