David Brown

Bio: David Brown worked on the development of CAD software at General Motors for 28 years.  He has been involved in Virtual Reality (VR) for the last 27 years at General Motors and US Army DEVCOM GVSC.  He has developed VR software to run a Computer Aided Virtual Environment (CAVE), and CAVE to CAVE collaboration.  He has helped develop US Army DEVCOM GVSC's Virtual Environment capability for visualization vehicles early in the design life-cycle.  

David Brown has been teaching at LTU as an Adjunct Professor for the last 15 years.  He primarily teaches Computer Networks, and Computer Graphics.  He has also taught Computer Animation, Computer Game Development, Introduction to Game Development, and Java.  He has an interest in VR and Software development.

David Brown has been married for 32 years and has a 29 year old daughter.  He grew up in Downtown Detroit.  He lived in Paris, France for a year when he was 8 years old.  He enjoys movies and VR technology.  He recently has started learning about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Language (ML).
