Mike Ward

Ward has proven that it's possible to grow up in your own backyard. He began at Doner in 1978, in the breeding ground of many future art directors – the matte room. With the exception of two and a half years in Denver (1985–87), Ward has been an integral part of the Doner creative team. He was named a Creative Director in 1991 and is still serving Doner clients at that level today.

Over the years, he's worked on national accounts including Merck Animal Health, OhioHealth, Bush’s Baked Beans, Canadian Tire, BallPark Franks, The Detroit Zoo, Iams/Eukanuba, Nine Lives, Progressive Insurance, Chiquita Brands International, La-Z-Boy, the Cleveland Clinic, and the American Kennel Club.

He has two children, Danny and Emilia, with his wife, Angela. Both have done internships at Doner. Ward also volunteers on the board of United Cerebral Palsy of Detroit, Michigan Youth Sled Hockey program and on advisory boards for the College for Creative Studies and the University of Michigan School of Art and Design.
