Linda Christine Blackwell

Blackwell teaches English at LTU. She is a former editorial director for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where for many years she was in charge of developing the company’s reading, writing, and art programs. Blackwell holds a B.S. degree in humanities, magna cum laude, from LTU, as well as master's degrees in journalism and creative writing from Michigan State University and the University of Glasgow (Scotland), respectively.

Besides teaching at LTU, she also writes fiction and journalism and is co-editor of two anthologies of writing and art. An avid traveler, she has visited countries on every continent except Antarctica.
