Morgan-Paisley has a PhD in Psychology. She has diverse research experience covering a broad range of areas in psychology including behavioral neuroscience, psychopharmacology, animal behavior, clinical psychology, systems analysis and sports psychology. The results of her dissertation were published in the academic journal Behavioural Brain Research, in 2008. Currently, her major research interests include media psychology, social psychology, human development and health psychology.

Following graduate school, Morgan-Paisley began teaching part-time at several colleges and universities in the area including the University of Michigan-Flint, Central Michigan University, Baker College, Schoolcraft College and Henry Ford Community College. In the past four years, she has taught 16 different courses (over 60 individual classes) covering a variety of topics in the field of psychology. Her favorite courses to teach are Social Psychology, Human Development, Introductory Psychology, Human Sexuality, Abnormal Psychology and the Psychology of Women.
