Background + Expertise

As manager, Mr. Oberhauser coordinates day-to-day operations and maintenance along with long range planning activities. He interacts with faculty, students, college administration and other departments on campus. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the Architectural Computer Resource Center, he also coordinates purchases, repairs, supplies and inventory for the lab and the Detroit Studio. Light maintenance, upkeep on printers, plotters and computers along with coordinating problems and updates with the central computer center are important tasks of the ACRC manager.

He is also responsible for researching new programs and equipment, collecting funds from students for prints and plots, knowledge of all computer programs and understanding of local area networks on laptops (LTU Tech-book), and strategic planning on technology relating to the LTU laptop initiative. He supervises 10-12 student assistants and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable law. Prior to LTU, he managed computer operations for a graphics studio, and managed technical support for the graphic artists at General Motors. Mr. Oberhauser graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. His masters degree, specializing in Management Information Systems, is from the University of Minnesota.
