Student Affairs
Associate Dean of Students

I received my Master of Education degree (MEd) in Higher Education from the University of Toledo. My graduate degree was preceded by a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Communications. I joined the Lawrence Tech family in 2005 and I enjoy my work immensely.

As the assistant dean of Students at Lawrence Tech, I am blessed to be able to support the Dean of Students in the leadership and direction of the division of Student Affairs, including Clinical Counseling, Residential Life, Disability Services, International Programs, Athletics and Wellness, Student Engagement, Dining Services, Career Services, the Academic Achievement Center and First-Year Programs.

During my tenure at Lawrence Tech, I have been fortunate to work in several departments within the division of Student Affairs which has provided me with valuable experiences and insight into many functional areas within our unit. I always find that no matter what my day might entail, the greatest joy in my position is supporting the engagement, learning, and success of our students.

I am currently a member of several professional organizations, including The American College Personnel Association (ACPA), Learning Disability Association of America, the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors (NAFSA), The Michigan Association of International Educators (MAIE), Michigan Association on Higher Education and Disability (MI-AHEAD).

I also serve as the ADA Section 504 Compliance Officer, Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Office (RO). Additionally, I am a member of the University Retention Committee and Global Talent Retention Board Member. I am certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, certified QPR suicide prevention instruction and certified TIPS trainer. I am also a proud recipient of the 2011 Mary E. and Richard E. Marburger Administrator of the Year Award.

In my most recent adventure, I am very honored to act as the advisor for Kappa Beta Gamma, the newest addition to our Greek Life family and Order of Omega, the Greek Honor Society here on campus.

I am so excited to be a part of the warm, diverse, and collegial environment at Lawrence Tech. I look forward to sharing it with you soon so stop by and say hello anytime! GO BLUE DEVILS!
