Lauren Davis

Lauren "Ren" Davis is a former broadcaster, copywriter, producer and voice over artist who earned her Masters in English, Language and Literature at University of Michigan-Flint with a concentration in Composition and Rhetoric. She earned her second Masters Degree at UM-Flint in Digital Education, with a concentration in Pedagogy and Tech. Her research focused on how historical changes in technology blur the lines between rhetoric and propaganda. Most recently, she's researched the ethics of emerging technology that promises AI curated AR, VR, and other immersive pedagogies; considering their risks and opportunities in the education sector. Ren teaches Academic Reading, Composition, Research, American and World Literature and Digital Education at Delta College in the Great Lakes Bay Region, and at Lawrence Technological University.

Trained in classical guitar and voice, Ren married her longtime guitarist and bandmate, Mike. They have three adult children, are avid rescuers of elderly, massive breed dogs... and the errant cat. Together, they own a small industrial certification and repair business that specializes in compressed gas apparatus for the chemical, medical, and construction industries.
