Jacqueline Moody

Jacqueline Moody Ph.D., RN, ACNS-BC is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at
Lawrence Technological University (LTU). She earned her Doctor of Philosophy
at Wayne State University, College of Nursing, and her Master of Science in
Nursing at University of Detroit in Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nursing Education.
Her bachelor’s degree in nursing was earned at University of Phoenix.

Dr. Moody has a strong background in academics. She developed the nursing
course mental health at LTU for the first cohort in the nursing program and has
critiqued it yearly to improve the course. She is a certified instructor for Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Trauma Nursing
Core Course (TNCC). She is certified in neonatal resuscitation while working in a
level one trauma center.

Dr. Moody has worked in the urban environment her entire career. She has held
nursing positions in academe, leadership, and clinical positions. She now works in
the suburban environment. She is passionate about academic and home care
nursing. Her goal is to improve discharged patient’s outcomes.

Dr. Moody is an officer in the United States of America. Her rank is Major and she
is the Officer in Charge of emergency department.

She has completed research in the emergency department to determine the
competency level of nurses taking care of high acuity level patients. Dr. Moody
also conducted research in her early years to explore the number of patients newly
diagnosed diabetes mellitus in the emergency room.
