Wendt enjoys spending time on the water with his wife of eight years, twins and two English Bulldogs. His outside work concentration is spent mostly on trading equities in the stock market, playing guitar, and working in the yard. Wendt joined Lawrence Tech in June of 2021 as an Assistant Professor and brings experiences in multiple disciplines of medicine. Being part of the first graduating class in 2011 from the five-year Accelerated PA program at the University of Detroit Mercy, he was a top 4% scorer on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam. He has 10 years of Emergency Medicine experience where he became Certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support in 2017.
Wendt also took responsibility for assisting with the operation and growth of multiple medical clinics across the state of Michigan. His associated clinics exist in the cities of Big Rapids, Midland and Davison where he has practiced in both Primary and Urgent Care Medicine. He has consistently precepted students from multiple Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner Programs and has been devoted to both mentoring and tutoring Physician Assistant Students since 2011. His most passionate area of Medicine is didactics and Clinical Medicine which he has placed significant concentration on academics and applying learned material to actual clinical and life experiences.
