Christine Cook

Christine Cook is a PhD Candidate finishing her dissertation at Wayne State University. Before entering the program there, she served thirty years in the US Army Reserves, and retired as a colonel. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Princeton University, a Masters of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a Masters of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies from Eastern Michigan University. Her research interest is the Women’s Army Corps during the Cold War, and her dissertation title is “The Military Feminine Mystique: The Women’s Army Corps’ Evolution from a Separate and Unequal Corps

to Full Gender Integration in the U.S. Army, 1948-1978.”
