Emily has worked in a variety of roles during and after her education at LTU, both in research for CoAD and in student support with the Academic Achievement Center. As a student she was the recipient of the ARCC King Medal for Excellence in Research in Architecture and the AIA Medal for Excellence in the Study of Architecture. After receiving her MArch, she received the Pellerin Travel Fellowship which enabled her to go to Portugal to continue her thesis research on the dissemination of Portuguese Baroque architecture to and within Brazil. Her other research has centered on Eero Saarinen and Minoru Yamasaki within American Mid-Century Modern architecture. Broadly speaking, her research focuses on ways that architecture has served as a manifestation of social needs throughout history.
