Scott DeGregoris
Scott earned his BA in English Honors and Film from Wayne State University and his MA in the Humanities from the University of Chicago. He is currently a doctoral candidate in English at Wayne State University working on a dissertation entitled: “Cruel spaces: From Fordism to Racialization in Narratives of the Single-Family House and Lot.” He has lived in the venerable city of Detroit most of his life and nothing conveys a sense of what guides his work better than the following words of Eugene V. Debs:
“As long as there is a lower class, I am in it. As long as there is a criminal element, I’m of it. As long as there is a soul in prison, I am not free.”
