Kenneth Ferstle

Ken Ferstle is from Rochester Hills. After completing a bachelor’s degree in economics from Michigan State University he completed a master’s degree in public policy (MPP) from the George Mason School of Public Policy in Arlington, VA across the river from Washington D.C. where he lived for two years, working in government procurement and market intelligence. He returned to Michigan in 2013 and is currently ABD in Wayne State University’s Political Science PhD program where he is writing his dissertation on interest groups and their role in the policy making process. Professor Ferstle has taught for Wayne State University in Detroit, Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania and Monroe County Community College. Professor Ferstle focuses on interest groups, public policy, public administration and American politics. He is teaching Foundations of the American Experience at Lawrence Tech this Fall.
