Allen started in broadcasting in 1987 and has worked in production, programming and management at radio stations in Detroit, Oxford, Ohio, Toledo, Ohio, and most recently in Dearborn at Henry Ford College. He has a Masters Degree in Mass Communication from Miami University, and Bachelors Degrees in Radio/TV and French Language and Culture from Wayne State University. A native Detroiter, his work includes decades of recording studio, radio production and programming experience. In addition to his work at LTU, he also teaches Broadcast Journalism, Audio Production and Digital Audio Editing at Henry Ford College, where he serves as Technical Director for WHFR-FM, the school’s non-commercial radio station. Allen is also a USSF licensed soccer referee who officiates matches at the youth, high school and adult levels. He lives in Wyandotte with his wife and two children.
