Tyler McLean

University Housing
Residence Hall Coordinator - East Hall
I started my journey in higher education as a First-Generation College Student at Millikin University and earned a B.A. in English Literature. I was a Resident Assistant for three years while at Millikin, and after graduating, I moved into a professional role as the Student Engagement Coordinator/AmeriCorps VISTA. Then, I continued my work and studies at Western Illinois University, where I earned my Master's degree in College Student Personnel Services in 2018, serving as an Assistant Complex Director. From these experiences, I learned the value of promoting personal and professional growth, leadership development, and building community with students in the residence halls. I also found passion in supporting First-Generation College Students and advising student groups. This will be my third year as a Residence Hall Coordinator at LTU. I also co-advise the Beta Delta (Blue Devil) chapter of National Residence Hall Honorary.
