Asal Beshoory holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Science Degree, and a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in Applied Math in Engineering.
She has over 20 years of teaching different subjects in different universities inside and outside the United States.
When she is not doing the college work, she spends her time with her kids, decorate cakes, and gardening.
Being in love with teaching her entire life, she joined teaching on September 1993 when she first graduates from college and moved forward with the continuous encourage from her best friend, her husband.
She is a mother of three wonderful girls, always willing to help and a great cultural fit. She believes in creativity, change, and discover new teaching ways to encourage the students in her class to be part of the teaching process by participating effectively through workshops, projects, group working, and discussions, coming up with an idea and putting it into action.
She always likes to learn a new method to use in the class. She uses a Project-Based Learning in her classes to push the students to think critically and apply their learning in math into a real-life problem. She found out that the once a week meeting with instructions and advices, made the students on task all the time. In fact, the PBL has a big impact on students’ achievement.
